After the receipt of the results from the record review, if you feel that your record is inaccurate or incomplete, you can challenge the record by completing the “Review and Challenge of Arizona Criminal History Record Information” form sent to you by mail with the results of the review. Submit the completed form to the Criminal History Records Unit at the address indicated above.
The repository will audit the information you indicate to be inaccurate or incomplete by contacting criminal justice agencies within Arizona that forwarded the information to the repository to verify the data. When correction is necessary, the repository will update/modify the criminal record and notify the FBI of any modifications.
The repository will send written notification to the individual who challenged his/her criminal record of the result of the audit and forward a copy of the updated record to the person as well.
You will receive a response within 15 days of your request. return to FAQ's
